I knocked out a couple small dents near the front FYI chips in pics are not obscured by tip unfortunately, one at top, and cautiously minimally put touch up paint any bare metal or with brush to protect it, it did improve appearance. I think glazing putty could fill the chips, and exact touch up paint can fix blemished areas, at least am pretty sure make it work. The price is what I feel it all worth. I came across a nice Electra glide fender and fell in love, so my project was solved.
It comes off immediately and completely with acetone nail polish remover a rag, the does not damage oem paint. The red is glazing putty, as it had started to rust under skirt, and skirt hit something been pushed up, gouging paint on its way. I cannot find a comparable sale on, but my guess is this not cheap item. I am also including the skirt that came on it, which is heavy, and has 2 actual removable HD emblems attached to each side.
The fender is fully functional, but it does have some cosmetic issues, scratches, chips etc and needs TLC. I think there may have been a bumper that is not here. Anyways, it common find in this color as was used for 1 year, will function if bolted in, the paint can probably be fixed. Or a good part for someone mechanically inclined.
The touch-up brush was just too much of a pain in ass, and it looked bad even though skirt going to hide. Again, it comes right off with acetone. Also included is the fender tip excellent shape, two decorative rails could use chrome polish, and fasteners that go under them were pretty rusty but I have in a Ziploc with Ed-40. They came pretty close, but it is just not exact.
Everything here is what was on it as I bought. I removed this from my 2003 Flores Road King classic 100th anniversary edition. I have made it work before on a tour pack, but lost the gamble saddlebag lid.
1 and record. Note: I had Napa try to match this and make me a touch up brush bottle of paint. I have taken close ups where it is most prominent.
